I yelled at myself for not remembered to bring my makeup along. I was already crying in the car. Good tears. It was a great day. Not only did we attend a fabulous wedding but the morning of, we were able to welcome Casey home. Casey is my little brother. Well, not by blood, but he’s still my little brother. He is my real brother Matts best friend.

Matt and Casey joined the military together right out of high school. Matt laid his foundation with the Air Force and Casey, the Navy. Its been amazing watching them grow up in the military over the years. From boys to men. We’re so thankful that now they’re officially both home and safe. They have served our country and been to war but most importantly they will always be our heroes.

Casey surprised his family at home so they did not know he was flying in. So his “second family” stood in to greet him.

Here he comes!

Long story! Worth the read 🙂 My mom has a rams horn, its a Jewish thing. No, we are not Jewish, she just wishes we were. Anyway, she blows it… a REAL rams horn… for big, praise the Lord moments in life. This apparently fell into that category. She asked the security guard if it was ok for her to blow it when her “son” got off the plane from Bahrain. She picked the right security guard who just happened to be a veteran and gave the all clear. WHAT!!!

Its LOUD people. REALLY LOUD. So, when Casey stepped into the airport, it was blowing and here was his reaction…. followed by everyone else in the airport saying oh my god, what is that!

Ok- so Adam literally threw Lucy at Casey- this was her response. When she was 5 months old, he was her favorite person. Apparently, when you spend over a year in the middle east, the love does not grow 🙂
Casey and Matt… HOME, safe & sound!!!! YEAH! Praise God for so many answered prayers.
