PUBLISHED: Grey Likes Weddings

When New Years rolled around this year I was reluctant to make a resolution. Its the same every year… the same as everyone elses every year… loose weight, try harder, make more money, be a better person, rock the world. You know, I know you know!

This year was different. I made a secret goal for 2009. I told only Adam because I knew he would never mention it if I failed to make it happen. Thats what good husbands are for. My ambition was to be published. Anywhere. A magazine, a blog, a wedding site.

Earlier this year, erin jean photography was published in a local womens magazine, but not for weddings, so I didnt count that. BUT TODAY! Today, I was published on Grey Likes Weddings which just so happens to be my favorite wedding site/blog!

Last week I realized I would never get published without submitting. I know, thats a daahhh… moment, but I was scared. To make a long story short, I submitted a shoot to Summer (Grey) and she emailed me back.

I was scared to click open. I had to read the few lines over and over before it sank in and I scared Lucy by jumping up and down. Part of the reason it means so much is that I have watched so many of my favorite photographers across the states and world be published on Greys site. So to have my work up with theirs brings happy tears.

Thanks to all of you! My family, friends and wonderful couples. You all make my heart smile today.
