Today, I want to tell the story of Matts proposal! Yeah….

Matt and I went shopping for a ring a while ago. He picked it out, I was there to make sure it wasn’t ugly! 🙂 He knew he wanted to propose under the old Suamico train bridge. The place Jessi says they first kissed. Matt completely disagrees that was the “first kiss” location so he thought it would be the perfect place to make her smile.

The original idea was that I would be hiding in the 7 foot grass to capture the event in photos without Jessi seeing me. Well, after we had everything set up, I knew that me “hiding” had to go. I needed to get the shot and that meant being only a LITTLE hidden. Plus, I was wearing a skirt and didn’t want those nasty weeds touching me! Hey, we are being honest.

The story was that Suamico was having a firemans picnic. Hence, the balloons in the road. So, Matt called and hung up at the one minute signal. I ran out and put the ring on the vintage green chair we stole from Jessis house. They pulled up and started walking towards me. I don’t think I have ever been that nervous to get the photos. The emotions were running high! Then, Jessi says, “why is your sister hiding in the bushes!” Classic as so fantastically funny.
