Elizabeth & Jake {the wedding}

Elizabeth and Jake had a wedding. A fabulous, perfect wedding. A wedding that I hope will inspire you all- hence the EXTREMELY long blog post!

Hinterland was the perfect backdrop. Light poured through the two story windows. Hand cut birch candle sticks adorned every corner in the quaint restaurant. Elizabeth was glowing in all her beauty. Jake smiled at her- all day long.
The ceremony was theirs. Small, relaxed and intimate. They laughed, exchanged vows and rings, kissed and were married. What followed the kiss was my favorite point in the day. Jakes mom yelled out, “FINALLY, FINALLY, finally!” You see, Jake and Elizabeth have dated for 13 years. They started dating May 28th….when they were 16. May 28th 2010 was their wedding day. How perfect and special is that!
*Funny side note* Elizabeth told Jake she wanted feathers at the wedding. He told her they should find a pheasant because the feathers were beautiful. A couple days later their was a pheasant hanging from their front door- randomly! Only in Wisconsin!!! 🙂
I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with Hinterland! Such an amazing place for a wedding…

The pheasant made appearances everywhere 🙂

The first time they saw each other before the ceremony.

The ceremony under the big moose 🙂

These are handmade place cards. They are all vintage forks they bent and beaded!

This was one of the cooks VW vans… he was so kind to let us play in it.

Alley from Sash and Bow did all the lighting! I promise you… lighting MAKES A WEDDING!
