I know it’s been quite glorious as far as weather goes around Titletown lately. Â How quickly we forget that less than two weeks ago, snow storm Evelyn was here. Â She arrived loudly and proudly. Â That was the day that Kelly and Steven were wed. Â It was magical. Â It was beautiful. Â AND… it was the craziest blizzard to hit spring in over 100 years.
These two currently call Alaska home and their guests were from all over the world . Â That ended up being so wonderful because they arrived in town and ready to celebrate before the snow began falling. Â As the roads closed, and snowplows went into overdrive, Â and Lambeau itself closed down, Â the wedding preparations began. Â (side note: the snowplow literally got stuck in front of our driveway before we left. Â As I panicked, Â Adam assured me he would snow-blow our yard and we would drive across it. Â Thank the Lord for that man! haha)
Kelly and Steven had planned a beautiful outdoor, April, ceremony. Â It ended up that the snow, ice, and wind speeds, were just not going to let that happen. So, they redesigned and still gave their guests that legendary Lambeau view. Â It was perfect.
Sometimes, life doesn’t go as planned. Â These two laughed, loved, and went with the flow. Â They embraced the storm and wind gusts in the bowl (pictured!) Â All the while, just focusing on each other… celebrating the day away. Â I promise you that they will have their guests reliving the wedding for the rest of their lives. Â It was gorgeous! Â What a story.
Huge thanks to Sash and Bow, Buds n Bloom, Sparkle Darling, Monzu & Lambeau! … and Blizzard Evelyn for the memories!
