B.R.A.s of the BAY – Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This shoot was just everything.  I mean it.  Everything.

Along side these AH-MAZING people, we were able to celebrate these three beautiful breast cancer survivors.  Poppy Avenue provided the clothing and styling, K-Sera the stunning hair and makeup, The Flower Mill designing and executing the flower bras,  and of course, Baycare Clinic for all their love and support.

These women were the most wonderful models I have ever had the privilege of photographing.  Their stories are courageous, and they will all be featured in a heartfelt video next month, for the big event.   Their courage through their cancer journeys, reconstructive surgeries, AND parading around East De Pere in their flower bras, 🙂 is so inspiring.

National B.R.A. Day – Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day – is Wednesday, October 18, 2017. It’s aimed at raising awareness and closing the loop on breast cancer.

To mark this day, businesses from the Green Bay area are invited to decorate and display bras in September.  Participating businesses can register decorated bras online. These bras will be voted on by the public via online voting from October 2 to October 19 (ending at noon).

Join us for B.R.A.s of the Bay, an annual social event that raises awareness about breast reconstruction.

When: Thursday, October 19, at 6 p.m.
Where: Badger State Brewing Company, 990 Tony Canadeo Run, in the Barrel Haus.
What: We will be recognizing breast cancer survivors and revealing the winning bras. This evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres from Chefusion and a cash bar.

We had one extra bra that day.  That meant Christian, from Poppy Avenue, had to be our model to show that baby off!  See all these bras and so many more, in the local business windows all around the Bay!
