Little Dear!!! & a whole new world…

With this new year, and new snow on the ground, we are super excited to announce what we have been working on for a while now.

As Lucy started school this year, I was coming to the realization that I needed and wanted a little more time in the summer to be home with my ever growing babies. (DON”T freak out — of COURSE we will still be photographing LOTS-O-WEDDINGS!  We could never give them up.)  I also had a passion in my heart when I photographed Lucy and Ruby.  They light up the world in my lens. Their beauty in a single photograph astonishes me on a daily basis.

Last year I started to follow along on a photographers journey online.  In that journey she lost her own sweet baby girl at a really young age.  The thing is, she had all the gorgeous photos to tell the story of her life.  Photos that screamed to the world who her daughter, Penny, was.  She was full of life  and I started talking to Adam about the fact that so many parents don’t have “those” kind of photographs.  A photo that tells who your child is and was, not just CHEESE and SMILE! photos.  So, with all these thoughts running through my head, the path became clear to me and we are launching LITTLE DEAR.  A portrait of a child.

I hope that you will all follow along on our journey of LITTLE DEAR and support our newest life adventure.  We will be specializing in kiddos from 1-10,  for the most part.  The Little Dear blog will come shortly, so for now, if you could follow us on  Facebook and LIKE our page you can stay updated that way!

Along with launching Little Dear, we re-branded erin jean photography.  We have been striving to simplify our life lately.  Both physically and emotionally.  De-clutter!   I took that a step further.  I have been longing for a simpler look to the brand and one that really said ERIN.  I think I have accomplished that.  I am in love with the new look.  It’s happiness in my soul.   It’s sweet, simple and soft.  Most importantly, it reminds me of me.  My mother is an artist and I can remember her painting all the time when I was child.  I was especially drawn to the watercolors so I new this needed to be part of my branding.  It reminds me so much of my roots that made me see the world in a different way, as art.
