This family. I could not love the Naylor/Madigan crew more. Yes, Hurley and June are the CUTEST. But, truly this family is so full of life. They know how to laugh and just be present together. It makes for endless photographs that document them as they are. The best kind of images.

Andrea, a beautiful photographer herself, had a plan. We were going to be on their dock, play in the water, swim, and so on. Well, it the weather had another idea. Much like the rest of this crazy summer in Wisconsin. It was SOOO bright out, and the wind + crashing waves, made most of those plans impossible. That’s the thing though. Sometimes, life doesn’t go as planned. It’s not about the location, the backdrop, or the light. Yes, those things help a photographer out, but, the beautiful feeling in photos (for me) comes from the connection between the people.
